{"id":1234,"date":"2024-06-06T13:42:22","date_gmt":"2024-06-06T19:42:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/td.srsd119.ca\/?page_id=1234"},"modified":"2024-06-13T11:13:44","modified_gmt":"2024-06-13T17:13:44","slug":"routine-student-expectations-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/td.srsd119.ca\/?page_id=1234","title":{"rendered":"Routine &#038; Student Expectations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/td.srsd119.ca\/?page_id=1182\">Return to Contents<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Classroom Expectations<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be on time, at desks, and ready to work.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be prepared for class &#8211; materials, books, pencils, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assignments completed and handed in on time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respect other people, their property, space, and ideas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work hard to produce the best quality work.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respect rules specific to each classroom.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non-Instructional Items<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students should not arrive at school earlier than 8:35 AM; supervision of students begins inside in preparation for classes which begin at 8:40 AM.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove outside footwear in the boot room and place footwear on the shelves provided. Gym shoes will be worn in the classrooms at all times. Bare feet are not acceptable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Running in the hallway is NOT permitted. Movement in the hallway should be quiet and orderly, especially during class time.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Playground<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following areas are off-limits for students:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Staff parking lots<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sides and front of the school<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students are not permitted to leave school grounds during the 8:40\u00a0 &#8211; 3:15 school day. This does not apply to town students going home for lunch.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Snowballs are not permitted for safety reasons.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bicycles &#8211; Students are not allowed to ride their recesses. All bikes are to be in the bike stands until the end of the school day.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">School staff reserves the right to limit certain grades to certain areas on the playground during recesses.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The early childhood area is only for Pre-K to Grade 2 use.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ball diamonds are only for softball or kickball<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tackle games are NOT permitted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Play fighting and wrestling are NOT permitted.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Return to Contents Classroom Expectations Be on time, at desks, and ready to work.
